If the problem of write protection has occurred on a Transcend flash drive try to use a special tool JetFlash Recovery that allows to check the status of the file system on a flash drive and fix all errors, including “The disk is write protected”.
I put some videos onto a USB stick from a security camera at a job site and they have completely ruined the drive. I am convinced that the videos are demons that can not be tamed by mortal man. Whenever I put the drive into a USB slot it tells me 'There's a problem with this drive. Scan the drive now and fix it.' I can not save anything new to the drive, nor can I even view the videos I put on there in the first place (it just crashes when I try).
I feel like I've tried everything other than giving up and burning the stupid thing in acid and just buying a new one (what a waste of money).
I've tried:
1. shredding the files with AVG
2. Regedit method (changing the write protect value to 0)

3. Format removable disk method (it just says the disk is write protected)
4. the DISKPART method in cmd.exe (when I get to the step 'clean' it tells me 'diskpart has encountered an error: the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.' and when I try 'create partition primary' it tells me 'no usable free extent could be found. it may be that there is insufficient free space to create a partition at the specified size and offset. specify different size and offset values or don't specify either to create the maximum sized partition. it may be that the disk is partitioned using the MBR disk.'
5. I tried the program Rufus 2.15 (it just tells me 'error: error while partitioning drive.')
6. The computer management method (the format option is just grayed out when I select the thumb drive)

I am quite frustrated at how some poorly designed software has completely destroyed my USB drive, and anyone with a solution would have my appreciation.
I don't see a physical switch on the drive to enable/ disable write protection. Depending on how I went about to solve this I either got the message Write Protected or Read Only. Generic SanDisk Ultra 32GB stick. It was formatted fat32 and I got the message that I needed to format to NTFS in order to write larger files to it which I did and successfully formatted to NTFS. In the process of writing 2 video files I got an error message for one of the files though I do not recall what it said. One of the video files plays normally the other one it says unsupported. Both of the original files play fine on the computer. I do not recall what if any activity I used the disk for previously. I tried several methods to remove the read only/ write protection:

From the above link I tried the Diskpart command fix which did not work and when I tried the Regedit.exe fix and created a new StorageDevicePolicies key and that did not work.
And I also tried this:
All to no avail. So any further input appreciated. Just to reiterate I want to be able to format and or delete files from the USB flash drive and remove the Read Only and Write Protected. TIA.
